July 16th 2016

My next work is well underway.  This time a period story (probably a mid-length to long novella) set in the late sixteenth century.  It’s a supernatural take on the Roanoke mystery with a bit of H.P. Lovecraft inspiration.  My working title is Roanoke: The Dark Island. I got about half way through the first draft a few months back and hope to get back to it in a couple of weeks.  I’m aiming for September to be my 'draft one' deadline but that doesn’t mean I’ll manage that.

May 7th 2016: New Release

The haunting of a Lord has just hit Amazon for $0.99.  I decided on a lower price as it’s a novella and as such a shorter publication than Rebirth was. I now intend to spend the afternoon making some marketing material for it.

April 1st 2016: Book Trailer

With draft two of The Haunting of a Lord is nearly finished I decided to spend a some time making a trailer for Halcyon Rebirth. A bit of time finding some Creative Commons music and images; Then few hours of video editing and the video is up on Youtube. You can find it embedded on the home page here.

January 30th 2016: A New Novella

It’s been a long while since I did an update here. I’ve put Halcyon Moonrise on the back burner to give myself time to try a short story. The short story idea didn’t quite pan out but as a fortunate by-product it has led to what will be a short Novella which takes place in the Halcyon Order universe. I’ve entitle it The Haunting of a Lord and draft one should be finished within a few days.

I also have another Novella planned based around the Lost Colony of Roanoke. I’ve not yet decided whether to tie this in with the Halcyon Order or make it stand alone.

March 31st 2015: Additions to Social Networking

I’ve got two weeks off work so have been able to commit a little more time to Halcyon Moonrise. I’ve also taken the opportunity to spruce up my Facebook and Twitter accounts with new header images and a new image to post when I tweet an advert. The advertising image has also been added to the home page here. I grabbed a couple images of stock image web sites and combined them in Photoshop. I then added a Kindle logo and some colour matched text. I think it worked rather well. Just a shame that there are large differences between desktop and mobile versions of twitter and Facebook. Some of the content get cut off on the mobile versions at the moment..

September 21st 2014: New Website

After a lot of playing around in Dreamweaver the new website is up and running. I’ve gone for a darker theme and I think it looks substantially more professional than the old one.

September 4th 2014: Halcyon Rebith on Amazon

I’ve been very lazy this year keeping the blog and website updated, also getting the final proofreading for Rebirth sorted. However it’s finally here. Halcyon Rebirth went live on Amazon last night and is up for download for less than that price of a pint of beer.

July 24, 2013: Halcyon Rebirth Finished

After seven years of on and off writing (more off than on if I’m honest) Halcyon Rebirth is finally finished. It still needs some tweaks and a couple of proof reads but the hard part is over.
